Founded by parents in 1969 as a school for children with Down syndrome, we’ve grown into one of San Antonio’s largest nonprofit organizations, serving nearly 4,000 children annually with a comprehensive approach that other preschools cannot match.

Brighton Preschool’s Mission is to support the overarching Brighton Center Mission by providing an inclusive early childhood environment for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, utilizing a blended and best practice approach to early childhood intervention, education, and individualized therapeutic programs.

Our Inclusive Environment: Brighton Center provides children with and without disabilities an inclusive environment where they can learn, not only through social interactions with peers, but also in a supportive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate setting tailored to their age and individual developmental needs. Emergent Curriculum Meets Your Child’s Needs: We provide our children with a developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each child, based on their individual developmental level. This curriculum offers opportunities to enhance all areas of children’s development, including cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative aspects, through a range of positive learning experiences in an educational and hands-on learning environment.

Our team of pediatric therapists (ST, OT, PT), early intervention specialists, inclusion coaches, educators, special education consultants, and administrative staff wholeheartedly embraces our mission.
