She was drawn to Brighton by its nurturing community and strong belief in every child’s unique potential. For Alexis, it’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that champions curiosity, inclusion, and the power of early learning.
One of Alexis’s favorite teaching moments was watching a student who had struggled with language begin to confidently express themselves during circle time. That “lightbulb” moment reminded her of the beauty in small breakthroughs—and the power of patience, encouragement, and connection.
Alexis strives to create a classroom where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to explore. She believes in creating a safe space where children can make mistakes, take risks, and discover who they are at their own pace.
What Alexis loves most about the Brighton community is the genuine sense of family—not just among staff, but with the families they serve. The respect, warmth, and shared commitment to children make every day meaningful.
